Terms and Conditions
Last updated 10 September 2026
In plain terms. Buy a licence, use DiskMac on up to two of your Macs, forever. Do not resell it or pull it apart. It deletes files when you tell it to, so keep backups — we cannot be responsible for what you choose to remove.
1. Who this agreement is with
These terms are between you and Himanshu Singh, an individual trading as DiskMac, of House No. 74, Sajanpur Pilli, Haridwar, Uttarakhand 249408, India (“we”, “us”). By downloading, installing or using DiskMac you agree to them. If you do not, do not use the software.
2. The licence you get
When you buy DiskMac Pro we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use DiskMac on up to two Macs that you own or control, for as long as you like. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and it does not expire.
The free version is licensed on the same terms, without the Pro features and without a purchase.
You may deactivate a Mac from within the app to free an activation slot for another one.
3. What you may not do
- Resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute DiskMac or your licence key.
- Share your licence key publicly or with people outside your household.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or modify the software, except where law expressly permits it regardless of contract.
- Remove or obscure any notices in the software.
- Use DiskMac to delete data you are not authorised to delete.
We may deactivate a licence key that is being distributed publicly. We will contact you first where we can.
4. What DiskMac does, and your responsibility
DiskMac is a tool for finding and removing files. Removal is permanent for some items and reversible for others — the app tells you which before you confirm, and offers to put back anything it moved to the Trash.
You decide what gets removed. You are responsible for keeping backups of anything you care about. We have built substantial safeguards — the software refuses to touch source code, credentials, and anything outside your home folder — but no safeguard replaces a backup.
5. Ownership
DiskMac and everything in it remain ours. Buying a licence buys the right to use the software, not ownership of it.
6. Payment
Purchases are handled by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. Prices are shown before you pay and may include tax depending on where you are. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
7. Updates
We may release updates that fix, change or remove features. Your licence covers updates within the same major version. A future major version may be a separate purchase — if that happens, your existing licence will keep working on the version it was bought for.
8. No warranty
DiskMac is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will identify every removable file on your system.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of or relating to DiskMac is limited to the amount you paid for your licence in the twelve months before the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, even if we were advised such damages were possible.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10. Ending the agreement
You may stop using DiskMac at any time; delete the app and it is done. We may terminate your licence if you materially breach these terms, in which case you must stop using the software. Sections 5, 8, 9 and 11 survive termination.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Haridwar, Uttarakhand have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change and material changes will be noted. Continuing to use DiskMac after a change means you accept it. If you do not, stop using the software and ask for a refund if you are inside the refund window.
